"This charming one-room library, Montgomery County's oldest, is now an historic landmark. It sits on its own triangular island surrounded by old trees and turreted Victorian homes. Once inside, children immediately sense the intimacy of this library, which is just for them. There are programs for babies and toddlers, two and three year olds, preschoolers, and other special events. Adults can borrow special Grandparent Kits with books, toys, and media centered on a particular theme, to have on hand for visiting youngsters. Come and bring your friends."
This smallest of libraries is a real gift to the community. It has narrowly averted closure more than a few times as the residents always rallied around this treasure. Do you have a library like this in your community?
