1. Do you have a favorite author?
Many. If forced to narrow it down, I would pick Roald Dahl, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Virginia Woolf, and John Irving.
2. Have you read everything he or she has written?
Everything. Multiple times. I know large sections of Dahl’s works by heart.
3. Did you LIKE everything?
Mostly. I do have a big range of like for Irving’s work however.
4. How about a least favorite author?
I don’t read authors I don’t enjoy so that is difficult to answer. There is much popular fiction out there that is truly “craptastic” as my daughter would say, but it seems unfair to name some. But it might be kind of fun... No. Can't do it.
5. An author you wanted to like, but didn’t?
More like a book, not an author. For years, everyone encouraged me to read The Pillars of the Earth. When I finally picked it up earlier this year, I was keenly disappointed. I loved the descriptions of the architecture and construction of the cathedral, but felt that the rest could have been edited down by hundreds of pages.
